Chatham Social Health Council | STD, HIV, and AIDS Prevention Education
Welcome to ChathamCouncil.org
Unlike many diseases, HIV/AIDS and STDs are preventable through education and knowing your HIV and STD status.
Through education, advocacy, testing and support, the Chatham Social Health Council strives to prevent HIV/AIDS, sexually transmitted diseases and unintended pregnancy throughout central North Carolina.
The CSHC is the only agency devoted solely to HIV and STD prevention education in Chatham County. Because of the outstanding prevention and testing services offered by Chatham Social Health Council, services were recently expanded to Alamance, Randolph and Orange Counties.
The Council reaches over 9,000 people annually.
PROGRAM GOALS
- To increase the knowledge about facts related to HIV and STD infection rates and trends, modes of infection and methods of disease prevention.
